Guards
Currently the game has 6 guards, of which 3 (Sacred Knight, Sanctuary Hunter and Battle Cleric) are available free to play, and 3 are available via seasonal content / limited time events.
Guards can be upgraded in various ways, but the main two are:
- Refinement - which is to upgrade the amount of stars on a guard by collecting Guard Shards from the daily Guard Recruitment, dungeons or events. Higher stars allow you to unlock passive skills.
- Gear upgrading - which changes the rarity of the guard. In each bracket (Common,Rare,Epic,Legendary), you will need to upgrade all 8 gear pieces, in order to unlock the next rarity of the guard.
- Guard Mastery - which over time unlocks extra skill bonuses by playing the weekly Guard War dungeon.
Note: The 5 ★ guards passive skill typically applies as a boost to your hero when you have the specific guard equipped.
